My First Love Affair... :)

So here I am, writing my first blog. And what better way to start this “ new life” than by writing about my first love affair!

By now, too many people have asked me questions( sometimes really uncomfortable ones) about my “love life”. And now, I’ve finally decided to come out in the open and let my life be, an open book, or in fact, an “open site!”. :P

Ok, coming to the point, it all started one rainy afternoon at a plush south Delhi mall. I had come there with my dad to do some “serious” shopping. After the usual looking-for-good-stuff-through-the-window, and many sighs (given out for clothes which I could never fit into), we reached the third floor of the mall. Here we had a big ritzy showroom which had items as inexpensive as Rs. 20 and as pricey as Rs. 5 lakhs! (no wonder India is the best example to show economic disparity!) Anyway, we proceeded to one of the counters. And it was on the way to this counter, that my eyes caught hold of my then future love. No, it wasn’t a salesman.

Although I've always maintained that I don’t go for “looks”, this was surely different. Nevertheless, it was love at first site.

My dad surprisingly, knew him well! He even introduced me to him! What luck! Introductions over and formalities completed, we left the showroom, and then the mall. On my way back, I just couldn’t control my grin. Seeing this, my father gave a typical-father reaction . “hmmm”. That’s it!

Over the next few months, I got to know him better. He wasn’t just good-looking, but had a great mind too! I couldn’t have made a better choice. He became a constant companion. Someone whom I could look up to for solving all(well, most) of my problems. I could disturb him at any time of the day (or night) without hesitation. He rarely needed to “recharge his batteries” even on the most stressful days.. what great energy!

Enough of bragging. So perhaps, I’ll just stop here. I just wish my love story with my Compaq Presario never ends, and we can be together forever and ever… :P J
